During the day I work as a digital communications specialist for a large health care organization. I’m also a wife to a patient husband and mom to my Mini Me, who loves to craft too. When we’re at home you can find us both in my craft studio making…something.
I began sewing at the age of six when I received a 1940’s Singer sewing machine from my great aunt. Over the year’s I’ve added other crafts to my repertoire such as knitting, crocheting, paper crafts, soap and body products. I recently added a Cricut Explore to my craft room and have been having fun playing with it!
Our family has a great love for the handmade community. We frequent local craft shows and buy handmade as much as we can. A handmade gift is so much more meaningful to me that something mass produced in the store. It is my hope, over time, to be showcase some of the amazing crafters and artists we have here in Canada.
What else will you find here? Besides my general crafting you’ll find some fun Girl Guide (the Canadian version of Girl Scouts) crafts and activities. I’ll also be including some keto and low carb recipes, information and tips from time-to-time.
The chance to be creative is something I believe every person – adult and child – should have in their life. I hope my crafting adventures will bring a smile to your face and perhaps inspire you a little.
And remember…when in doubt glitter makes everything better!
